Lawrence, a town of over 6,700 population, is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Wisconsin. Lawrence offers a high quality of both urban and rural lifestyles and excellent opportunities for residential, commercial and industrial growth. Interstate 41 runs through the middle of our community and provides ready access to both Appleton to the south and Green Bay to the north. The beautiful and picturesque Fox River forms the Town’s eastern border. The Town is served by the highly regarded West De Pere School District and Hemlock Elementary School is located in the burgeoning northwest side of the community.

PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING: Scheuring Road Urbanization Project
The Town will be upgrading Scheuring Road from the Village of Hobart border to Packerland Drive. The project will include curb and gutter, a new parking lane on the north side of Scheuring Road (Between Nutmeg Drive and Wizard Way), and the trail on the south side of Scheuring will be extended to the west to Pine Tree Road.
During this construction, portions of the road will be closed causing residents to take alternate routes. The timeline and map below show the closures. These dates could change weather permitting. Please follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.
• March 17-April 18, 2025: Sewer and water installation on Scheuring Road east of Packerland Drive. There will be a water shutdown for water main relocation during the week of March 24-28. Postcards with detailed information will be mailed soon. (water shut down planned for Thursday, March 27, 9 am – 3 pm)
• April 18- June 27, 2025: The road will be closed from the west municipal border to a spot between Cider Drive and Nutmeg Drive. This section will reopen by June 27, 2025.
• June 28-August 22, 2025: The road will be closed between Cider Drive and Nutmeg Drive to Packerland Drive. This road section will reopen by August 22, 2025. This will allow buses to use the road for the new school year.
• August 22-September 26, 2025: Asphalt paving and road markings.
• September 26-October 10, 2025: Completion stage which will include, Installation of signs, seeding of terrace areas, and general clean-up.
A public information meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Town Hall (2400 Shady Court, De Pere) to discuss project details and answer questions.PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING: Scheuring Road Urbanization Project

Tim has served the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for 16 years, most recently the Village of Ashwaubenon.
