Garbage Collection Services
- Garbage and Recycling services are provided under a Town contract by GFL.
- GFL Phone Number: 920-983-3341.
- Garbage collection is performed every Monday with recycling services provided every other Monday.
Please help to keep our neighborhoods clean by following these rules and helpful hints:
- Garbage must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on Monday (unless a holiday, see trash & recycling schedule). GFL will not return to retrieve your garbage if placed curbside after pick up. All carts shall be removed by 8:00 a.m. on the day following collection.
- Only garbage placed inside the bin will be picked up; items placed alongside bins will not be collected.
- Bag all garbage to be placed inside bins.
- Be sure to bag packing materials such as packing peanuts, bubble wrap, etc.
- The Town does not provide collection services of large items
- Contact GFL at 920-983-3341 to arrange for a pick up (additional fee)
- Brown County Port & Resource Recovery website offers information on how to dispose of items
- Recycling is mandatory and if it is mixed with regular trash, it can be refused to be picked up.
Do NOT place the following items in your garbage bin:
- Recyclable materials collected curbside – aluminum containers, corrugated paper and container board, glass containers, magazines, newspapers, office paper, junk mail and plastic containers #1 and #2
- Yard waste including leaves and grass clippings
- Steel containers, waste tires, and mixed beverage containers that are primarily made of steel and aluminum – these items must be disposed of properly
Curbside placement of bins:
- Place the cart with the arrow on the lid pointing toward the street, but not in the road right-of-way.
- Do not place the cart within three (3) feet of any object (five (5) feet would be ideal) and do not park any vehicles in front of the cart.
- If possible, please place the garbage cart on one side of the driveway and the recycling cart on the other side, but make sure your mailbox is accessible.
