Starting January 2025, Harter's Fox Valley Disposal will be the Town's 

NEW solid waste & recycling collection provider.

NEW SERVICE DAYS!

Tuesday: Residents East of I-41 and South of Birchwood Road

Wednesday: Residents West of I-41 and North of Birchwood Road

IMPORTANT DATES

• DECEMBER 18, 2024: New trash and recycling bins start being delivered to residents. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.
  • Residents will receive the same 95 gallon size bins.
• DECEMBER 30, 2024: Final GFL trash and recycling pick up
  • DO NOT USE THIS BIN AFTER PICK UP.  The bins must be empty for GFL to collect.  Bin collection date is still being finalized.  More information to come!
• DECEMBER 31, 2024: First day to use the Harter's trash and recycling bin
• JANUARY 7, 2025: Harter's Trash & Recycling Collection for residents East of I-41 and South of Birchwood Road
• JANUARY 8, 2025: Harter's Trash Collection for residents West of I-41 and North of Birchwood Road

Trash & Recycling Bin Placement:

Place bins with the lid opening pointing toward the street, but not in the road right-of-way. Make sure there is at least four (4) feet between the recycling and trash carts, and any other objects (i.e. mailbox or vehicles) If possible, please place the garbage cart on one side of the driveway and the recycling cart on the other side, but make sure your mailbox is accessible.

The bins are the property of Harter's Fox Valley Disposal and must be left at the residence. 

Rules and Regulations to Follow to Ensure that your recycling gets picked up properly:

• Please DO NOT set carts in or on top of snow banks. It will not be collected when placed in such manner.
• Please DO NOT park a vehicle on the street in front of the carts or place your carts alongside of a parked vehicle on the street. It will not be collected when placed in such manner.
• Please DO NOT place carts under trees or close to mailboxes.
• Please DO NOT set additional bags of garbage or other materials outside of the container.

2025 Trash & Recycling Schedule

Please have your trash & recycling curbside the night before your collection day or by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day. 

IF YOUR BINS WERE SET OUT LATE, YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL YOUR NEXT SCHEDULED PICK-UP.
